In a significant stride towards global recognition and adoption, individuals in Singapore can now undergo World ID verifications using the Worldcoin project’s custom hardware device, the Orb. This latest development follows the successful launch of World ID 2.0 and the open sourcing of the Worldcoin iris recognition pipeline in mid-December.

World ID verifications are rapidly expanding across the globe, with recent launches in Spanish cities like Sevilla and Bilbao, adding to the growing list of locations in Spain. Germany, too, sees increased access to World ID verifications with new Orb locations in Cologne and Leipzig, joining Berlin and Nuremberg.

In South America, Chile’s access to World ID verifications has broadened to include Concepcion, Curico, and Viña del Mar, complementing the existing service in Santiago. Argentina achieves a new milestone with over 10,000 verifications in a single day, showcasing the growing interest in World ID verification in the region.

In Japan, Fukuoka on Kyushu Island now offers locations for proof of personhood verification via World ID, adding to the existing options in Tokyo.

As World ID verification locations continue to expand, the World App, the first World ID-compatible wallet developed and maintained by Tools for Humanity (TFH) for the Worldcoin project, has achieved significant milestones. With over 5 million accounts created, the World App now ranks as the 5th most popular hot wallet globally in 2023, alongside prominent wallets like Bitcoin.com, according to CoinGecko.

Monthly active users of the World App have surged to 1.7 million. Furthermore, the total number of transactions on the app has exceeded 30 million, underscoring the growing adoption of World ID and the associated wallet.
